Astro Acharya is a Vedic astrology platform built on one rule: separate the mathematics from the meaning.Astronomy is exact, so we compute it exactly. Interpretation is a tradition, so we ground it in that tradition's foundational text — the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra — instead of improvising.
When you cast a free kundli here, the engine computes your ascendant, all nine grahas, the sixteen divisional charts of the Shodashvarga, planetary aspects and friendships, your complete Vimshottari dasha timeline, and your Sade Sati status — and the Acharya, our interpretive layer, explains what those exact placements mean in plain words. Subscribers can go further and converse with the Acharya about specific questions — a job change, a marriage window, the year ahead.
Our principles
Every chart is computed by a deterministic engine built on the Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical library professional astrology software uses — with sidereal positions (Lahiri ayanamsha), whole-sign houses, true-node Rahu, and historical timezone handling for your exact birth place and minute. The interpretation layer is never allowed to calculate or 'estimate' a planetary position.
Readings are composed against retrieved passages of the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra — the foundational text of Parashari astrology — so that what you read traces back to classical rules on dignities, houses, yogas and dashas rather than invented lore.
Difficult placements and periods are framed as tendencies and timing to be mindful of. We do not write fear, fatalism, or medical claims, and we never present astrology as a substitute for professional advice — medical, legal, or financial.
Many of our readers come to Jyotish fresh. Every Sanskrit term in a reading is explained in brackets the first time it appears, and our guides are written to be understood on first reading.
What we publish
